The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, is a landmark legislation that provides for the maintenance and welfare of senior citizens in India. The Act recognizes the obligation of children and relatives to maintain senior citizens and provides a simple, speedy mechanism for enforcement.
