Step 3 — Examination: The Registrar examines for absolute grounds (distinctiveness) and relative grounds (conflict). Objections must be responded to within 30 days.

Step 4 — Publication: If cleared, the mark is published in the Trademark Journal for opposition within 4 months.

Step 5 — Registration: If no opposition or opposition decided favorably, the certificate is issued. The process takes 12-18 months if unopposed.
